Bluebird Park
Bluebird Park is the largest of several parks throughout Ellisville’s park system. The park features 167 acres with community gardens, tennis courts, playgrounds, softball fields, a dog park, disc golf course, picnic areas, and pavilions. The park is also home to an aquatic center, and its amphitheater is a popular spot for live music throughout the year. Kids will love exploring the large playground with climbing walls and other unique structures. Bring a bike and take a ride along some of the park’s biking trails to get a workout in and enjoy nature.
Thies Farm
Thies Farm is the perfect place to go if you’re looking for fresh fruit and fun family activities. In the summer and early fall, Thies offers pick-your-own peaches and blackberries, and you can also pick your own flowers. In the garden center at Thies, kids and teens can participate in a class on sustainable farming, conservation, and more. You can find seed planting events during different seasons, and Thies also provides an exciting way to shop for fresh produce and homemade fare at the Thies Farm Market. Rock Hollow Trail
Visit Rock Hollow Trail in Wildwood, only 10 minutes away from Ellisville. Rock Hollow Trail features 2.3 miles of paved walking trails, wide enough for both cyclists and pedestrians to use comfortably. The trailhead leads downhill to the Al Foster Memorial Trail, where you can enjoy differences in the trail’s elevation. Stop for a rest on one of the numerous benches set up along different points of the trail and enjoy Missouri’s flora and fauna throughout the wild terrain. You can enjoy the streams and waterfalls from 13 different bridges throughout the park, too.
DEFY St. Louis
DEFY is an indoor trampoline park in downtown St. Louis, just minutes from Ellisville. Bring the whole family to DEFY and get ready for an airborne adventure. Jump, tumble, and climb on the DEFY’s awesome trampolines and obstacles, and you’ll find excitement in the aerial silks and trapezes. Play extreme dodgeball with the kids and see how fun it is to play the game on a trampoline. Challenge a friend to a gladiator battle on the balance beam or take a leap from DEFY’s stunt jump. If you get hungry or thirsty, DEFY offers snacks and beverages at the concession.
